Thoracic Surgery
At VOAS we are equipped to perform open thoracic surgeries. In our main operating theatre we have an advanced anaesthetic machine integrated with a veterinary ventilator. This allows the breathing to be precisely controlled.
The majority of patients will undergo a CT scan prior to surgery. This is included in the price.
We have experience in a range of thoracic surgeries.
Lung lobectomy £2400
Pericardiectomy (for the treatment of restrictive £2000
pericarditis/certain pericardial effusions)
Chest wall resection with either muscle flap/mesh £2000
Vascular ring abnormalities- PDA/vascular ring £600-1000
obstruction of the oesophagus
(These are major surgeries and often cost prohibitive in young puppies. We find these surgeries professionally very rewarding so are happy to perform at cost)
