Mr Spencer has always had a strong interest in orthopaedics and advanced soft tissue surgery. This interest started whilst working at a busy RSPCA hospital in Birmingham. In 2024 he achieved his advanced certificate in veterinary orthopaedic surgery and this alongside the advanced facilities at VOAS has allowed him to make full use of this qualification. He has a strong interest in the concept of 'one health' and is working alongside Fuji and Cefla to help bring new imaging modalities to the human market through his interest in dual energy CBCT. In 2026 he attended the ECR meeting (Europe's largest human radiology meeting) as a representative of Cefla where some of his cases were presented. We are a reference centre for Cefla and have the very first scanner of this revolutionary type in any setting in the UK. We regularly have visiting hospital radiographers. Outside work his passions are road cycling and sailing.
